Forge of Hephaestus is a 5-reel, 4-row, ways-paying videoslot, with the following features:

Fireball symbol collection
Each reel has a Reel Counter at its base consisting of three light icons. The lights start in the off state.
One or more Fireball symbols can land on any reel. Each fireball display a random prize value which is displayed as a multiplier of the player’s bet.
On a paid spin, the range of possible fireball multipliers is: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 20x.
If one or more fireballs land on a reel, then all 3 lights in the Reel Counter illuminate.
Any fireballs stick on the reels when the player starts a new spin.
The reel counter decreases by one light for each subsequent spin in which no fireballs land on that reel.
If one or more new fireballs land, the reel counter resets and all 3 lights in the Reel Counter are illuminated again.
If the reel completely fills with fireballs, the gate at the bottom of the reel opens, the fireballs fall into the forge, and the player wins the sum of all of their values.
If the reel counter empties (no lights are illuminated) and no new fireballs landed in that spin, the existing fireballs are removed from the reel and no prize is paid.
SuperStretch™
Base game only.
If a forging hammer symbol lands on a reel in which there is at least one fireball, then that reel will expand upwards by one row for the next paid spin.
The reel's counter resets and returns to three lights.
When a reel's counter hits zero and no new fireball lands, then the reel shrinks back to the standard 4-rows in height.
Only one forging hammer can land on each reel, but it is possible that one can land on all five reels.
Each reel can be a different height.
Hephaestus multipliers
In the base game only.
Triggered randomly.
If Hephaestus appears he will move to one or more reels then swing his hammer to add a random multiplier to those reels.
The multiplier is displayed above the reels.
The multipliers that Hephaestus adds are 2, 3, 5 and 10x and are multiplied together if more than one multiplier is applied to the same reel.
That reel's Reel Counter will fill up (all 3 lights illuminated).
The Hephaestus multiplier will remain above that reel until either:
- The reel fills up with fireballs, in which case the value of all the fireballs are multiplied by the current stake, and that total then multiplied by the reel multiplier and paid, or;
- The Reel Counter empties, in which case the multiplier fizzles out and disappears.
If one or more Hephaestus multipliers are active above the reels and the bonus feature is triggered, the multipliers, the Reel Counter value and any fireballs (in those specific reels only) will be saved and displayed again after the bonus feature has been completed.
Bonus feature with multipliers
Triggers when three Anvil symbols land on the panel. Anvil symbols only land on reels 1, 3 and 5. Only 1 anvil can land per reel.
The range of possible fireball multipliers is: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 20, 50 and 100x.
Special, blue Win Multiplier symbols can land. These can have values of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 20, 50 and 100x.
The reels expand to 10 lines high.
Individual reels do not have separate Reel Counters in the feature.
A single Re-spin Counter is displayed starting at '3'.
A single multiplier counter is displayed after the first Win Multiplier has been collected.
The panel is divided into three levels: The first level is five rows high, the second level is three rows high, and the third level is two rows high.
Any Fireball symbols that were on the reels in the triggering paid spin remain in place for the bonus feature.
Levels 2 and 3 start locked, except for when there are more than five fireballs in an extended base reel when the feature is triggered (caused by the SuperStretch feature). In this case they will automatically unlock the higher level(s) when the feature starts.
The feature commences with a first spin. The Re-spins Counter decreases by '1'.
The symbols spin independently in unlocked and locked levels except for the fireballs already on the panel, which remain in place.
Only new fireballs or Win Multiplier symbols can land.
Symbols can land in locked positions, but they are not yet accessible to the player (they must be unlocked).
Win Multipliers that land in unlocked sections are removed from the reels immediately and their value is added to the Win Multiplier Counter.
If one or more new fireballs land on the unlocked section(s) of the panel, the Re-spin Counter is reset (to '3').
When five fireballs land in the lower level of a reel (filling it), the second level above it is unlocked. The collecting column in that reel is now eight high.
If the free spins meter hits '0' AND no new fireballs land, the bonus feature is over.
The total win is derived by multiplying the value of all fireballs that remain in unlocked sections by the base game stake, then multiplying that by the final Win Multiplier Counter value.

- If bets have been placed at a specific bet level, and the player then changes the bet level, the game will save:
- The locations of any existing fireballs
- The states of the reel counters
- Any Hephaestus reel multipliers
- The heights of any stretched reels.
- Click the SPIN button to spin the reels.

- Wins are paid according to the pay table.
- Malfunction voids all pays and plays
- All pays are from left to right, starting with the leftmost reel.
